Tourist Directory for Mildura & Sunraysia Region

Mildura is located on the Murray River in the North West corner of Victoria. One of Australia's fastest growing inland centres it is home to 25,000+ people in Mildura City and another 20,000+ in surrounding townships.

Mildura is an Aboriginal term meaning Red Earth. But don't think Mildura is surrounded by bush and dirt. The countryside is a wonderful combination of wineries, orchards, flower gardens including Australia's only inland Botanic Garden.

Mildura has a wide range of activities and attractions. There are wineries to visit, paddleboats & houseboats, museums, art galleries, fishery, gardens, local craft and antique shops and much more. Mildura is an excellent stepping off point for many National Parks and tours. Bush walks and camping are also popular.

Each year there is the Mildura Jazz, Food & Wine Festival, Mildura International Balloon Fiesta, Mildura & Wentworth Arts Festival and of course the Mildura Country Music Festival. See Mildura Events for more details.
